“Noble Rot” has been a long tradition at Brown Brothers. John C. Brown was the first Australian winemaker to recognise botrytis mould in 1934. The grapes for the 2019 vintage were handpicked from the Milawa Vineyard that has been producing botrytis since the early 1960s.
Fresh lifted aromatics and classic botrytis characters like orange marmalade, citrus and honey, the complexity, richness and elegance of this wine make it a delicious partner to desserts as well as cheese platters.

It is also a perfect match with cheese platters – including strong flavoured blues and pungent washed rind styles, or with a rich paté at the start of a great meal.

“Hand-picked botrytis-affected riesling fruit from King Valley, given 24 hours’ skin contact. Year after year, this wine is incredibly consistent in style and quality. Deep golden hues with the scent of dried apricot, orange marmalade, cumquat, orange peel and dried fig. The palate is dense and sticky, beautifully balanced and textural and deliciously layered in concentrated citrus. Stunning!”
